Answers To Frequently Asked Questions

I love bagels, but can I really eat these and lose weight?

Yes, you can! Most bagels are 300-400+ calories and many times don’t feel worth the calories or points. These bagels are approximately 150 calories each or 3 WW points.

Why is my yogurt dough too sticky?

One of the top trouble-shooting questions we receive is how to fix sticky dough. This dough can be quite sticky. That’s why we recommend that you start with using ALL the flour and only HALF of the yogurt. Slowly add more of the yogurt until you have a pliable dough ball that you can work with.

Also, be sure to use the thickest parts of your Greek yogurt and strain off any extra liquid.

If you’ve already started making your dough and it’s too sticky to work with, add extra flour. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to adjust the points accordingly.

How long do these bagels last and how should I store them?

These bagels are best when eaten within a day or two of baking them, but they freeze beautifully. To freeze, place the bagels on a sheet pan in a single layer so they don’t stick together. Place in the freezer to flash freeze.

When frozen, place the bagels into a gallon storage bag and back into the freezer. Frozen bagels can be thawed on the countertop for a few hours or in the microwave for 30 seconds. Once they are soft, they are especially delicious toasted in the toaster or air fryer.

You can even freeze the raw dough. Make the dough and divide into balls. Freeze the dough balls. Thaw dough overnight, shape into bagels, and bake as directed.

What are the best ways to top these bagels?

Some of our favorite ways to top and serve these:

  • As a delicious breakfast sandwich with an egg and spinach. (0 additional points)
  • Make a ham or turkey sandwich and top with Dijon or honey mustard (0-3 points extra for a the ham or turkey)
  • Spray with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray (0 points)
  • Spread with Brummel and Brown spread made with yogurt (1 T is 2 points).
  • Spread with real butter (1 T is 5 points).

  • Top with regular (2 points for 1 T, light (1 T is 1 point), whipped (1 T for 2 points), or fat-free cream cheese (1/4 cup is 1 point).
