Who is the most loved girl in DDLC? ›

The game itself only uses the files to do the game progression. If you delete Monika prematurely, Sayori commits suicide immediately because the game detects that the file is no longer there. If you delete her during Act 3, the game progresses, because it was waiting for you to do that.

Monika states in Act 3 during her conversation with the player that Sayori's hands are bloody because her hanging did not kill her instantly, having stepped from a chair instead of a higher place, the latter which would have made her death quick and painless.

A lot of people seem to use the "but she's a first year!" argument despite this never even being stated (the MC only assumes she's a first year due to her size, which is because of malnourishment and not age).
