Spire Motorsports and Justin Haley Part Ways: A Look Back at Their Journey (2025)

Breaking News: A Significant Shift in the NASCAR Cup Series!

It's official: Justin Haley and Spire Motorsports are parting ways after the 2025 season finale at Phoenix Raceway. This announcement, made on October 14, 2025, marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter for both the driver and the team. What does this mean for the future of the No. 7 car? We'll find out soon, as plans for 2026 are still under wraps.

Haley's journey with Spire Motorsports began in their inaugural NASCAR Cup Series season back in 2019. Talk about starting strong! He made his debut on his 20th birthday at Talladega Superspeedway. But here's where it gets interesting: just six weeks later, at Daytona International Speedway, Haley secured his and the team's very first victory at NASCAR's highest level. Talk about a memorable start!

"This was not an easy decision," shared Jeff Dickerson, co-owner of Spire Motorsports. He highlighted Haley's journey with the team, from a young driver to a proven winner. Dickerson emphasized Haley's contribution to the team's success, stating that he "helped strengthen our organization into what it is today." He also praised Haley's reputation as a respected competitor.

Haley's racing career is impressive, to say the least. Before joining Spire, he made waves by winning the 2016 ARCA Menards Series East Championship at the young age of 17. Across NASCAR's Cup, Xfinity, and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, he's accumulated a staggering 338 starts.

From 2019 to 2020, Haley ran 34 races for Spire Motorsports while also competing full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He then moved to Kaulig Racing for the 2022 season before returning to Spire in September 2024. In his 177 starts, 74 of which were with Spire Motorsports, Haley has achieved one win, six top-five finishes, and 18 top-10 finishes.

At just 26 years old, Haley has already racked up an impressive resume, including four NASCAR Xfinity Series wins and three NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series wins. This puts him in an elite group of only 41 drivers who have won in all three of NASCAR's National Touring Series. That's some serious talent!

About Spire Motorsports:

Spire Motorsports made history in their first full season by winning the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona in 2019, with Justin Haley behind the wheel. The team continued its winning streak with William Byron securing their first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series win in 2022 at Martinsville Speedway. More recently, Rajah Caruth brought home a win at the Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway on May 30, 2025.

In 2025, Spire Motorsports is fielding the Nos. 7, 71, and 77 Chevrolets in the NASCAR Cup Series. They also have entries in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series and select ARCA Menards Series events.

But here's the million-dollar question: What's next for Justin Haley? And what direction will Spire Motorsports take in 2026? What do you think about this change? Share your thoughts in the comments below! Is this a good move for both parties, or do you see it differently? Let's discuss!
