Princess Kate, the Princess of Wales, exuded elegance and solemnity at the 2025 National Service of Remembrance, held at The Cenotaph in London on November 9th. She donned a structured black coat dress with boxy shoulders, a high neckline, and a fitted bodice, adorned with a lace ruffled scarf, adding a touch of formality to her ensemble. Her glossy brunette locks were styled in loose curls, cascading down her back, with the front section pulled away to showcase an asymmetrical hat. She also wore a pair of pearl drop earrings, a family heirloom, reminiscent of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana's, Collingwood Pearl Earrings, gifted to her upon her engagement to King Charles in 1981.
The National Service of Remembrance is an annual event held in Whitehall, London, to honor those who sacrificed their lives and fought for their country during World War One, World War Two, and other conflicts. It includes a two-minute silence and a wreath-laying ceremony led by King Charles. The Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, and senior politicians and faith representatives also mark the Armistice of the First World War and other conflicts involving British and Commonwealth forces. Up to 10,000 members of the public attend, and approximately 10,000 veterans participate in the March Past, representing over 300 Armed Forces and civilian organizations.
This was Kate's first Remembrance event of 2025. On November 8th, she attended the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance with her son, Prince George, at the Royal Albert Hall. She wore an Alessandra Rich dress with a white Peter Pan collar, paired with the 'Bayswater' clutch by Mulberry, Gianvito Rossi black pumps, and Queen Elizabeth's Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings, a wedding gift from the Hakim of Bahrain in 1947.
In 2024, Kate attended the National Service of Remembrance, choosing a tasteful look. She wore a black Catherine Walker coat dress, with the original fringing removed and a velvet bow added, along with a net and flower-adorned hat by Juliette Botterill Millinery.
