Home & Garden Tidbits: Vol 6 (2024)

Welcome to Home & Garden Tidbits. This is a collection of everything that caught my eye this past week from renovations to gardens, home decor finds. and more!

Let’s get inspired together!

Home & Garden Tidbits: Vol 6 (1)

Well, our washing machine recently died on us and with everyone home for the summer and lots of swim parties, the laundry was starting to pile up!

We debated about getting another front load washing machine because the gasket on our old one was disgusting. Yes, we left the door open. Yes, we used aFresh and every type of viral cleaning hack I could find. Maybe it was too far gone already, who knows?

At any rate, we settled on another front load washer, but picked the GE Ultrafresh model. I must admit it’s quite pretty! Of course, now I’m sad that I don’t have the matching dryer but our dryer works just fine so no need for a new one…yet.

All of this washing machine research had me thinking about laundry room design, though! So often these are stark spaces with basic elements, lacking detail and styling. Well, I found some great inspiration for you to spruce up your laundry room! You can see all of my favorites below.

So that was my week. Now let’s move on to what captured my attention this week!

Home Decor Finds

Who did some Prime Day shopping? Me! I actually only bought two things. I bought this decorative bowl and this so I could try making my own bread. Both already arrived and the bowl is amazing. I’ve added it to my coffee table and love the pop of white.

Walmart has done it again with some cute home decor finds for under $20. This framed art is beautiful. The frame might not be substantial enough to hang on its own, but can you imagine how beautiful this would look layered in front of a mirror like this one (which is now just $55!) or other piece of art?! They would all look great together on a cabinet like this with reeded glass.

Did you know that TJ Maxx has a website that you can shop? They have some cute finds this week, like this set of two scalloped lamps and this rustic black vase. A trinket dish like this is always good for an entry table or nightstand. And I love the design of these outdoor counter stools…I love the price, too! If you spend $89+ you can get free shipping with code SHIP89.

I did get a little curious about the lighting that I found in this week’s laundry room inspiration…and I found it! Here’s the lantern chandelier and here are the wall sconces. Both make quite a statement in their respective spaces!
