These copycat Texas Roadhouse rolls are one of our very favorite bread recipes and we make them often! If you’ve never been to the restaurant to try these rolls, then make some at home and discover what you’ve been missing out on! We live an hour away from the restaurant so being able to make them at home means we get to enjoy them whenever we want! This recipe is for Texas Roadhouse rolls in a bread machine which means hardly any time or effort on your part with sweet results to show for it!
I have to be honest with you, just looking at these photos has my mouth watering all over again. Lucky for me I’m making these delicious, warm, melt in your mouth rolls again tonight along with a big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup! Talk about amazing comfort food! I promise you these sweet rolls are as good as they look. Add some Buzz + Bloom Cinnamon Spreadable Honeyto the top and you’ve got an irresistible combination!
Texas Roadhouse Rolls Recipe
To make these copycat Texas Roadhouse rolls in a bread machine you’ll need some simple ingredients.
- 1/4 cup warm water (temp between 80-90 degrees F)
- 1 cup milk(temp between 80-90 degrees F)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 1/2 cups unbleached bread flour
- 1 envelope dry, active yeast
Place the ingredients in your bread machine in the order listed, or if your particular bread machine tells you a different order then follow that. (I use this bread machine) It is important to use a thermometer (I use this one) to check the temperature of your water and milk and ensure they are between 80-90 degrees F. If you do not then your liquids may be too hot and kill your yeast which will cause your bread to not rise properly.
Then select the dough cycle and let your bread machine do all the work of mixing, kneading and letting it rise. I find I have a lot better success with making bread dough in the bread machine as my kitchen is simply too cold in the fall and winter and my dough inevitably doesn’t rise correctly. The bread machine takes care of that problem! If you’ve had problems with bread properly rising in the past then that may be the solution for you too!
Once the dough cycle has completed, remove the dough and roll it out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/2″ thick rectangle. Fold the dough in half and allow it to rest for 15 minutes. Then cut into 18 squares. I used a pizza cutter like this to cut mine. Then bake at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes until tops are golden brown. When they come out of the oven you can swipe the tops with butter to give them a shine.
I love topping my Texas Roadhouse rolls with Buzz + Bloom Cinnamon Spreadable Honey. It is SOOOOO amazing on top of these sweet rolls! Spread on a nice layer of it while the rolls are still warm and let it melt and ooze over the edges of the rolls. It’s a flavor explosion in your mouth. The Cinnamon Spreadable Honeycombined with the warm, fluffy bread is a flavor-packed combination. I promise you won’t have leftovers!
You can get Buzz + Bloom Cinnamon spreadable honey from Amazon. Alternatively, you can serve the Texas Roadhouse rolls with cinnamon butter.
Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Butter
I love the cinnamon honey on these Texas Roadhouse rolls but this Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter recipe is also amazing and is like what they serve in the restaurant. To make the cinnamon butter you’ll need:
- 1/2 cup sweet, creamy salted butter (softened)
- 1/3 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Put butter in a small bowl and beat with a hand mixer until fluffy. Add a little confectioners sugar at a time and blend in. Add cinnamon and mix well. Place in a container in the fridge when you aren’t using the cinnamon butter. Put out to soften for serving.

Servings 18 rolls
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup warm water temp between 80-90 degrees F
- 1 cup milk temp between 80-90 degrees F
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 1/2 cups unbleached bread flour
- 1 envelope dry active yeast
For Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Butter
- 1/2 cup sweet, creamy salted butter softened
- 1/3 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Place ingredients in bread machine in order listed. If your bread machine suggests a different order then follow that order. *Ensure your liquids are the proper temperature by using a thermometer. If liquids are too hot they will kill your yeast.
Set bread machine for the dough cycle.
Once complete, remove dough and roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle with a 1/2" thickness. Fold the dough in half and let rest for 15 minutes.
Use a pizza cutter and cut into 18 squares. Place on a cookie sheet (I lined mine with a silpat mat) and bake at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
When you remove them from the oven brush the tops with butter to make them shine.
Spread Buzz + Bloom Cinnamon Honey or Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter over the top while rolls are warm and serve.
For Cinnamon Butter: In a small bowl beat butter using a hand mixer until it is fluffy. Slowly add in confectioners sugar while blending and finally add cinnamon. Mix well. Store in the fridge when you aren't using it. Soften before serving.
